Retention period
Unless a more specific retention period is stated in this policy, personal data is retained until the purpose for processing no longer applies. Data will be erased after a valid erasure request or withdrawal of consent unless other lawful grounds require continued storage. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
Legal bases for processing
Where you have given consent, processing is based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR or Article 9(2)(a) GDPR. Processing required for a contract or pre-contractual measures is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Processing required to comply with a legal obligation is based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Processing may also be based on our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Section 25 TDDDG additionally applies, where relevant, when information is stored on or accessed from a user's device.
Recipients of personal data
We disclose personal data to external parties only where this is necessary for a contract, required by law, permitted by a legitimate interest or supported by another legal basis. Where processors are used, disclosure takes place only under a valid data processing agreement.
Withdrawal of consent
You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal remains unaffected.
Right to object and objection to direct marketing
WHERE PROCESSING IS BASED ON ARTICLE 6(1)(E) OR (F) GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME, ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION, TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA. THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THOSE PROVISIONS.
WHERE PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR DIRECT MARKETING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO PROCESSING FOR THAT PURPOSE. AFTER AN OBJECTION, THE DATA CONCERNED WILL NO LONGER BE USED FOR DIRECT MARKETING.
Right to lodge a complaint
In the event of a GDPR infringement, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, particularly in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement.
Right to data portability
You have the right to receive data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or a contract in a commonly used, machine-readable format, or to have it transferred to a third party where technically feasible.
Access, rectification and erasure
Within the limits of applicable law, you have the right to receive information about stored personal data free of charge and, where appropriate, to request rectification or erasure.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request restriction of processing under the statutory conditions, particularly where:
- you contest the accuracy of the stored data,
- processing is unlawful and you request restriction instead of erasure,
- we no longer need the data but you require it for legal claims,
- you have objected under Article 21(1) GDPR and the balancing test is still pending.
SSL or TLS encryption
This website uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in the browser address bar and the lock symbol.
Objection to unsolicited advertising emails
We object to the use of contact data published as part of the legal notice for sending unsolicited advertising or information. We reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited promotional messages.
4. Data collection on this website
Server log files
The hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files transmitted by your browser. This may include:
- browser type and version,
- operating system,
- referrer URL,
- hostname of the accessing device,
- time of the server request,
- IP address.
This data is not combined with other data sources. Processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the technically correct display and secure operation of the website.
Contact by email
If you contact us by email, your request and the resulting personal data are stored and processed to handle your enquiry. Data is not disclosed without a legal basis.
Processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures. In other cases, it is based on our legitimate interest in handling enquiries effectively under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR or on consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR where consent has been requested.
5. Functions of reiseadapter.info
Country, trip and device checks
Your selections of origin, destination, plug type and device characteristics are processed to display the requested result. The application does not create a user profile from these entries. The selection may appear as parameters in the URL but is not stored by the application in a user account, analytics profile, cookie or local storage.
Affiliate links and product/price information
reiseadapter.info may retrieve current product, price and retailer offers server-side from affiliate and price comparison services. The Yadore GmbH Offer API is currently used in particular for this purpose. Product identifiers such as EAN/GTIN, the requested market and a technical placement identifier are transmitted to Yadore. A user's specific country, trip or device-check selection is not transmitted to Yadore as a personal user profile.
Offers are retrieved between the reiseadapter.info server and the respective service. Merely displaying retailer offers therefore does not establish a direct browser connection to Yadore or the respective retailer.
Only when you actively click a link marked as advertising, affiliate or offer link is your browser redirected through the respective affiliate service to the retailer. Technical connection and click data may then be processed. Yadore states in its privacy information that information associated with an actual advertising click includes the time and origin of the click, referrer, IP address, browser, country of origin and technical click identifiers.
Participating affiliate networks or the destination provider may also use their own cookies or comparable technologies during the redirect. Their respective privacy information applies to further processing on destination sites.
Individual products may additionally be linked through the Amazon Associates programme. A direct browser connection to Amazon is likewise only established when you actively open the corresponding link.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Cookies and device storage
reiseadapter.info currently does not itself use analytics or marketing cookies and does not use local storage for analytics or advertising purposes. External tracking pixels, retailer images or affiliate scripts are not embedded in the browser for the displayed Yadore offers before an active click. If consent-based functionality is added directly to reiseadapter.info in the future, it will remain blocked until the appropriate consent has been given and this policy will be updated.
